Wine name Thousand and One Nights
Type Red - DOC Contessa Entellina
Alcohol 13,5-14,5% vol.
Nero d'Avola 90%, 10% other native varieties.
Trained in the counter and spurred cordon pruning. Planting density 5,000 vines per hectare production of about 40 / ha. Soil of medium texture.
The grapes, harvested in September, are vinified in stainless steel, with maceration on the skins for about 12 days at a temperature of 26-30 C. A malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred into new French oak barrels for 24 months prior to the aged in bottle for at least 12 months.
Description noble version of Nero d'Avola, ruby red dall'impenetrabile. The enveloping scent embraces us with a fruity, sweet and ripe, but not cooked, balsamic and floral notes of violet slight accent of tobacco closing. A wine that shows great structure to the taste and remarkable personality. Alcohol blends into the soft tannins in a convincing balance. The satisfaction of taste and smell is long and perfect.
Serving With elaborate dishes, red meats, sauces enriched with spices. Also try of cheeses, roast mutton, veal and lamb chops.
